Mel C nearly got booted out of the Spice Girls for telling Victoria Beckham to “f*** off”.
The former Spice Girl confessed it almost cost her a spot in arguably the most famous girl band when she “upset” Posh Spice by swearing at her.
Looking back, the singer admitted she got a “bit lairy” when she reminisced on the catty bust-up which unfolded on their big night at the Brit Awards in February 1996.
The Spice Girls had been invited to the star-studded awards ceremony, five months before they launched their band.
She told The Guardian in a new interview: “I got a bit lairy and I told Victoria to f*** off.”
The outspoken personality admitted she was given a word of warning if it happened again she would be out of the band.
Mel performed the guillotine gesture, according to the newspaper.
She added: “I upset her, and I was told that if that behaviour ever happened again, then.”
The Spice Girl star shared she learnt to “have an easy life was to stay quiet”.
Earlier this year, Mel joined forces with Mel B as well as Geri Horner and Emma Bunton to put on a show-stopping Spice Girls comeback tour.
But Victoria bowed out of the opportunity to take part.
However, Posh Spice raked in £30,000 from the tour thanks to licensing rights.
Mel C said of Posh not joining them on tour: “We are all in a different place but a good place. We are all sad that Victoria won’t be joining us but it is all genuinely very supportive
“We didn’t (work hard on her) we knew already. The Olympics was hard for her. She’s moved on and her life has changed. She just doesn’t have that love of performing.”
