Mel B always knew Victoria and David Beckham had the staying power for a long and happy marriage and lo and behold, they celebrated 20 years of wedded bliss this year.
Offering new insights into the star-studded marriage, Scary Spice revealed she remembered looking at them on their wedding day and thinking they would be ‘unbreakable’.
‘From day one, that was it,’ Mel remembered. ‘You could see it in both of their eyes.’
Scary then recalled a sense of protectiveness from the fellow Spice Girls when it came to dating and romance.
She said: ‘We were a real girl gang and no one was allowed to have a boyfriend without him being interrogated by the rest of the band and given a tough ride.
‘Victoria begged us to be nice to David.’
‘[David] was so sweet and shy and there was no way she was going to let us give him a hard time. She made that completely clear,’ Mel B added.
Continuing with the praise, Scary said: ‘Vicky is one of the funniest women on the planet and she is completely herself when she’s with him.’
‘They’ve grown up together, they know each other inside out, they’ve got through good times and bad times and that’s a real relationship,’ she said.

Posh posted a video of the happy couple together along with the caption: ‘A private tour, dream come true!! Nous avons eu le privilège de vivre un moment magique au Château de Versailles.’
Translated, it means ‘we had the privilege to live this magical moment at Versaille Palace’.
Victoria also recently opened up about her amazing sex life with the football star.
When The View host Joy Behar joked that the sex can sometimes be ‘eh’ when you’ve been with someone after ‘many years together’, Victoria cheekily corrected: ‘Don’t worry about that!’
