Mel B ‘announces Spice Girls world tour too early as Geri fails to commit’

Their UK and Ireland tour was a roaring success with fans, selling out stadiums up and down the country.

But a Spice Girls world tour may not be on the cards, as Geri Horner is reportedly quitting the band.

Mel B got fans riled up on the final night of their tour by announcing that the girl band were hoping to play a set in Australia.

She since went back on her word, saying: “So I announced it on stage, yes, without everybody else signing off 100%.”

According got The Sun, Ginger Spice is the group member that has her doubts about “signing off” on the world tour.

The newspaper claimed that she was on the brink of leaving the band again, just as she had done 21 years earlier with the original group.

Releasing hit single Its Raining Men and writing a number of wildly popular children’s books, Geri has enjoyed massive success since leaving the group all those years ago.

Their source claimed that while Geri “loved the tour,” she found it “very hard going,” before adding that she ”feels like three nights at Wembley Stadium is the perfect high to end on.”

They continued: “She doesn’t really want to be away from her kids for any long stretches.”

The 46-year-old, formerly known as Geri Halliwell, is mum to two little ones –  her 13-year-old daughter Bluebell, and son Montague, two.

Though Victoria Beckham opted out of this tour, Mel B, Mel C, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton were all game.

Having made an estimated £10million each from the reunion tour, it’s in each of Brit-pop babe’s interest to make the tour worldwide.

But, if Geri pulls out, the tour will no longer go ahead, and fans overseas will be devastated to hear that the hit 90s act might not make it to the stage again.

Daily Star Online has approached Geri Horner’s representatives for comment.
