Mel B left jaws on the floor earlier this month when she revealed she had enjoyed a steamy sex session with fellow Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell.
Speaking on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, the 43-year-old singer and TV personality made the bombshell admission that she and Geri, 46, – aka Ginger Spice – had allegedly had a one-off night of passion at the height of their fame.
But according to international dating coach and expert, Hayley Quinn, Mel B and Geri Horner were just two women living in close quarters who were open to exploring sexuality.
Speaking to Daily Star Online, Hayley explained: “With the revelation that Mel B was intimate with co-Spice Geri, as a dating coach, I have to say I am maybe one of the only people not shocked to hear this.
“The facts are that they were two extremely successful women at the height of their careers, living and working together very intimately. I often find that it’s the emotional intimacy between two people that can lead to that crossing into something more physical.
“Sexuality is often more fluid, and no matter whether they’ve been in predominantly heterosexual relationships, they seem to have both been open to exploring a different form of sexuality: and as girl power should note, great sex doesn’t necessitate having a man involved!”
Hayley added that Mel’s shock revelation may have come at a price though – her friendship to Geri.
She explained: “Mel B is currently living up to the title of her book Brutally Honest and seems keen to no longer tow the line.

“This emergence of her new super-charged identity could certainly be a reaction to being recently out of an (allegedly) very controlling relationship.
“However, her recent public sharing of intimate details of her life perhaps doesn’t pay close enough attention to other’s personal boundaries and privacy. As was quite obvious to a stunned Mel C, when Mel B first confessed to her and Geri’s relationship on Piers Morgan’s show, this information hadn’t been disclosed before.
“From Geri’s perspective, she could be understandably hurt that Mel B shared intimate details of her life, without considering her friendship.
“I would imagine now Geri is going to lie low and not fuel the fire.
“It happened a long time ago and isn’t representative of where either woman is at with their career and sexuality now.”

However, Hayley believes that all will be forgiven soon enough ahead of the Spice Girls eagerly-anticipated comeback tour.
She added: “My guess would be that Geri’s husband will recognise the revelation for what it is, a moment that made sense at that stage in Geri’s life, but not one that dictates her present.
“Mel B will also probably have quite a lot of work to do to reconnect with Geri and explain why she felt the need to say this publicly when it seems like a great time to have simply said ‘no comment’ as no one appreciates a kiss and tell.”
A representative for Geri told the Daily Star Online: “It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days. Geri is really grateful for your support and loyalty for so many years.
“She loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria. She would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family. Moving forward, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories.
“She wishes you a Happy Mother’s Day.”
