Megan Barton-Hanson enjoyed a night out with former Love Islander Charlie Brake recently, and it wasn’t just a hangover she woke up with.
Taking to Instagram to share the story, the TV star revealed she was now a pet owner. Again.
She explained, that after sinking a few drinks with Charlie, the duo headed back to Charlie’s cousin’s house where she found his hamster in a tiny cage.
Not happy with the small living conditions for her new furry friend, Megan took the hamster home with her.
The kind act, however, was short lived as the little rodent managed to escape, leaving Megan pulling away her skirting boards in order to locate her four-legged pal.
Megan documented the whole saga on social media, and apologised to Charlie before revealing they’re trying to find the critter.
In the video, she said: “I didn’t like the fact her cage wasn’t big enough, so I stole her in her ball.
“And now…she’s gone. I’m sorry Charlie’s cousin it wasn’t my place to steal her.”
Along with her mum, Megan tried to coax out the hamster with food.
She explained: “We’re just going to try and tempt her out with a few treats.”
It is unknown if Megan was successful in her animal catching escapades.
We don’t think Charlie will be asking Megan to pet sit anytime soon.
