Meek Mill surprises his grandmother with a brand new house while sharing her reaction in a new video

Meek Mill shared his grandmother’s stunned reaction with social media followers after buying her a brand new house in their native Philadelphia. 

The 33-year-old rapper, who was born and raised in the city, took to Instagram on Monday with a video of the smart property, telling followers: ‘I did this for my dad and my Grandmom.’ 

Meek – real name Robert Williams – showed off its numerous rooms after admitting the generous gesture was his way of ‘looking out’ for his doting grandmother, who was visibly surprised as she familiarized herself with her new home.

Abode: The 33-year-old rapper (real name Robert Rihmeek Williams) took to Instagram on Monday, sharing a photo of him and his grandmother in the new abode

After showcasing the bedroom, kitchen and living room areas, the nearly two-minute video shows his elderly relative – walking with the help of a cane – as she observes the home for the first time.

Other family members can be heard saying ‘Welcome home’ as she walks through the property with a beaming smile on her face. 

Meek eventually emerges on the staircase and asks, ‘Do you like it grandma? as the video shows more photosa of the home and the Philadelphia skyline.

A separate video shared with Instagram followers on Monday showed the rapper sitting on a bed while his grandmother relaxed in a chair with a beverage.

‘Loyalty is not just a word. Kick ya feet up Grandmom. My dads mom. I’m Prada myself! Ya definition of real not the same as mines I get it!’ he is heard telling her.

The rapper shows her around the kitchen as the video showcases a painting several times which clearly has some family significance.

The home also comes with a power chair for her to get upstairs, as she checks out the spacious bathroom and gives her grandson a big hug.

She tells her grandson the home is ‘unreal’ in the kitchen as she says, ‘Thank you baby’ and he responds, ‘Appreciate you, grandma.’

The rapper made headlines in 2018 with his grandmother, when he found out her home in South Philadelphia was vandalized.

Surveillance footage showed that ACORN – which has been associated with Neo-Nazi white supremacists, was spraypainted on the wall of her home.
