Maya recently told her Instagram followers that she has been struggling with her mental health.

Taking to her Instagram Stories she wrote: ‘Finally accepting that I’ve been struggling with my mental health for a while now, for ages I shrugged off feelings and would try to make excuses for why I felt low because I couldn’t explain what I was feeling or why.

‘I feel like this is the first step of me moving forward though. Accepting myself even when I’m not the bubbly positive girl and taking any of these days as they come.’

She added: ‘I’ve been wanting to cancel plans n shut off but I’m not going to today because something I have learnt is that as bad as it feels now it doesn’t last.

‘I’m always going on about how healthy transparency is online but always delete these kind of messages before posting because of the vulnerability that comes with it. But f**k it were all human.’
