Love Island stars Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor reportedly hung out together for the weekend after reuniting with their co-stars.

The friends headed to Maura’s place in Essex following their reunion dinner last Saturday with Michael Griffiths, Jordan Hames and Danny Williams, who had been house hunting together.

The pair were pictured getting into Chris’ car together and driving off.

According to The Sun, Chris was spotted heading out on Monday morning wearing the same clothes.

Their reunion with Maura comes as she is now single again, after splitting with ex-boyfriend Curtis Pritchard at the beginning of March ahead of lockdown.

Maura’s spokesman previously insisted that they are just really good friends.

Chris lives with Michael and Jordan, but are now searching for a new lads’ pad for Danny to join them.

Jordan shared on Instagram that they have to leave their current place due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

Maura and Curtis had got together in the Love Island villa last summer, finishing in fourth place on the show.

After announcing they had broken up, Maura said in a statement that their romance just ‘wasn’t meant to be’.

‘There is no easy way to get through a breakup and no bad feeling on either side. We tried to make it work, but it wasn’t meant to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future,’ she said.

Curtis, meanwhile, has recently said he was left ‘hurt’ by Maura announcing their break up so soon after they split on social media.

‘It hurt. I wasn’t ready for everyone to know we had split up — I wanted some time.

‘It was a shock to see that she had announced it on social media hours later,’ he told The Sun, before revealing he’s not ready to start dating again.

Ruling out dating apps, he added: ‘I’m very old-fashioned. I don’t actually like talking to people over a mobile phone or laptop… I like to be with somebody and talk to them.’
