Matthew Wright has unveiled the terrifying stalking hell that has left his wife feeling threatened and vulnerable

The 53-year-old TalkRadio host revealed that a woman has tracked him down to his home address and keeps turning up at events where she tries to solicit information from his famous friends.

Speaking for the first time about calling the police on his stalker, Matthew said his wife Amelia was feeling under threat because of their newborn daughter Cassady.

“Things started escalating from her thinking that I was looking at her in suggestive ways,” he said on Wednesday’s show.

“She started turning up at events where some of my better-known friends were and talking to them, and of course repeated visits to home.

“Amelia with a newborn baby feels really under threat from her. I don’t feel physically under threat from her at all. I really don’t want her to be be nicked for it,” he went on.

“I want her to get help, but the trouble is that mental health services are not what they once were, despite all the pledges of cash from government.”

Matthew continued: “She has conjured up in her mind the notion that she and I have some kind of connection, some king of relationship.

“I’ve had people that know her intercede and say ‘you really shouldn’t keep pursuing this, it’s really unfair on Matthew and his wife and the newborn baby’ and she says she’s not going to hassle me anymore, and then she hassles me some more.”

He ended the serious discussion with a joke, telling listeners: “You’ve got to be not quite the full ticket if you want to spend a lot of time with me.”

It’s not the first time the I’m A Celebrity star has been plagued by over-familiar fans.

Back in 2016, he had to have a woman banned from his Channel 5 The Wright Stuff audience after she persistently interrupted to talk to Matthew.

“She was being disruptive and making a nuisance of herself during the show, so they have told her she can’t come back,” a source told the Mirror at the time.

“But she has since been calling back saying she is in love with Matthew and that she thinks he is in love with her.

“It’s been the talk of the show backstage. She is Matthew’s biggest fan, but she has taken it a bit too far.”
