He told The One Show viewers: “Today, umm, I’ll be honest with you right, I’m not feeling as good as I normally do. I’ve wondered for a couple of days whether or not we’ve got it.
“But certainly I’m feeling pretty tired and I’ve got this dry cough – I don’t have a fever as such.”
The host continued of his family’s self-isolation procedures: “I have been going out today and trying to get a bit of fresh air and we’re lucky here because we’ve got space in order to isolate in.”
Offering advice to others in quarantine, he added: “I just wanna say if you’ve got a garden and you can get out, goodness me, it makes you feel so much better when you do go out and get some fresh air and notice the seasons around us.”
