The One Show stand-in host Angellica Bell, 43, told viewers Countryfile presenter Matt Baker, 42, writes music away from his presenting duties.
During a chat with singer Freya Ridings, 25, the duo got on to the topic of songwriting ahead of her performance of Lost without You.
Matt asked the singer where she did her songwriting, to which she revealed she does it at home in her living room.
Angellica then asked if there’s “anything specific” Freya needs to concentrate on songwriting before turning to Matt and revealing he also writes songs.
Seeming surprised by the revelation, Freya replied: “Oh, cool,” prompting Matt to smile.
Angellica then praised Matt as she added: “He’s multi-talented this guy.”
The stand-in host then turned the conversation back to Freya, who revealed her younger brother is also a musician.
Angellica’s revelation comes after Matt Baker’s Countryfile co-star Julia Bradbury, 49, spoke of her friendship with Matt in an emotional post.
Julia was a part of the presenting line-up alongside Matt for five years up until her departure in 2014.
In a recent Instagram post, Julia reflected on their time together as she urged fans to check on their friends.
In view of her 41,000 followers, she wrote: “Love this dude. Sometimes you’re lucky enough to be thrown together with people that you really vibe with.
“Matt Baker & I started working together on #Countryfile, then got sent on a job together travelling half way round the world, more than 10 years ago.
“He’s become such a good friend in world where that doesn’t happen very often.”
Julia then went on to give her fans a “pep talk,” adding: “I’m gonna remind you all to take care of your friends & nurture those friendships.
“’Framily’ is so important. And I hope this doesn’t come across as celebrity luvvie moment because I’m lucky enough to have a lot of good friends who are nothing to do with telly.
“But it’s always nice when you can bounce ideas & thoughts around with someone who understands your job because you’re both doing something similar.”
Matt has been presenting the BBC show since 2009.
In a recent episode of The One Show, Matt invited Paddy McGuinness, 45, on Countryfile after he mocked the size of Freddie Flintoff’s hands.
The new Top Gear trio – Paddy, Freddie, 41, and Chris Harris, 44 – appeared on the show to promote the news series.
But the conversation soon moved on to Countryfile when Paddy insisted Freddie has good hands to milk cows.
He said: “I tell you what Matt, look at them!”
Pointing at one hand, he added: “That could milk a few cows. He could put three teats in that at once!”
Matt replied: “I’ll invite you onto Countryfile, it would be an education.”
Pleased with the invitation, Paddy excitedly replied: “I would love that, please.”
