MasterChef fans were left scratching their heads after a ‘romantic’ moment aired between judges Matt Preston and George Calombaris on Wednesday’s episode
During the bizarre scene, George decided he wanted to spoon feed Matt his dessert while they sat at a table together.
The chefs both locked arms and fed each other the dessert – but the footage left a bad taste in the some viewers’ mouths.

After feeding each other, George told Matt: ‘If we were on a date right now and you picked this restaurant I would definitely give you a big hug!’
After the scene aired, viewers took to Twitter to express how uncomfortable they felt watching the scene and joked that the two men looked like a couple.
One person tweeted: ‘Definitely convinced now that Matt and George are actually on a romantic date.’

Several Twitter users compared the bizarre ‘date’ to a famous scene from Lady and the Tramp in which two dogs eat spaghetti and kiss.
Others were less flattering in their comparisons and simply said the whole segment was ‘creepy’ and ‘uncomfortable’ to watch.
