The savvy skier, dubbed Rocket Man, was filmed as he blasted uphill at Glenshee Ski Centre in Aberdeenshire yesterday.

Glenshee Ski Centre is the largest ski resort in Scotland and experienced a bumper week thanks to cold weather and a large dumping of snow recently.

Today is the fourth day in a row that Glenshee has opened for skiers, snowboarders and sledgers.

Despite eleven ski lifts running, the thrill-seeker took matters into his own hands and used his jet pack to navigate around the resort instead.

Not only did he avoid queuing for the lifts, he saved time having to queue to pay for a ski lift.

A video, captured by another snowsport enthusiast, Dave Marsh, shows him whizzing uphill to get to the top of the mountain while the loud roar of his jet engine can be heard.

Referencing one of the resort’s lifts, they wrote on the image: ‘Hope everyone had a good day. There were some strange goings on at Butcharts – some of you saw it.’

Hundreds of impressed followers commented on the post – including some who spotted ‘Rocket Man’ whilst they were visiting the resort.
