Kimberley Walsh opened up about Nicola Roberts Masked Singer’s appearance, and revealed she’s “proud” of her friend.
The gals, along with fellow bandmate Cheryl, all gathered around a big screen as they watched Nicola bag first prize, unveiling herself as the star in the Queen Bee costume.
Taking to Instagram, Kimberly uploaded several short clips of her former Girls Aloud members tuning into the show, as she sweetly hugged her pal as the duo beamed for the camera.
Underneath the shot, she gushed over Nicola’s starring role on the programme.
“Could honestly not be prouder,” Kimberly wrote.
“You are amazing and I love you so much.”
In another clip, Kimberly is seen crying and fanning her face as she watched Nicola belt out Lewis Capaldi’s smash hit, Someone You Loved.
On Saturday’s nail-biting finale, Katherine Jenkins aka the Octopus came in third, while comedian Jason Manford, who was unveiled as the Hedghodge, was awarded second place.
Judges Rita Ora and Davina McCall had previously correctly guessed that the Sound of the Underground hitmaker was Queen Bee, with other guesses including bandmate Nadine Coyle, actress Margot Robbie and musician Charlie XCX.
Once she took off her oversized Bee head, the flamed-haired singer exclaimed: “It’s piping hot in there.”

Discussing the judge’s predictions, she added: “It’s so hard when you’re saying things and you’re like ‘yes’.”
And judge Rita Ora piled on the compliments: “You’ve really shown off your vocal range.”
“I mean literally last time I sang like this was on Popstars The Rivals,” she responded.
