Marvel’s Avengers assemble at No.1 in the UK video games chart – Thumbsticks

Next week’s list of new PlayStation 4 releases includes an RPG remaster, a high school adventure, and content expansions for three big games.

What do you get if you combine the creative talents of R. A. Salvatore, Todd McFarlane, and Grant Kirkhope with the financial acumen of Curt Schilling? Yep, Kingdoms of Amalur is back in a new remaster from Kaiko and THQ Nordic. There’s a decent role-playing game in here. Let’s hope the updated version smooths off the rough edges and lets it shine.

Other new PS4 releases include Necromunda: Underhive Wars, the first adaptation of Games Workshop’s popular tabletop war game, and EVC’s lovely high school tactical RPG, Wintermoor Tactics Club. We also have our eyes on two promising racing games: Hotshot Racing and Inertial Drift.

Budding game makers can look forward to the console version of RPG Maker MV. We reviewed the Nintendo Switch edition, and despite some niggles, we enjoyed our first steps to becoming a game developer.

Finally, there are new content expansions for Borderlands 3 and The Outer Worlds, plus a Star Wars-themed game pack for The Sims 4.

We’ll update this post throughout the week if we receive news of any late additions. Here are the new PS4 releases confirmed so far.
