‘It was 110% caused from the show’: Former Married At First Sight star Ines Basic slams the social experiment and claims it gave her complex post-traumatic stress disorder
Former Married At First Sight star Ines Basic has unleashed her fury at the social experiment claiming it led to her post-traumatic stress disorder [PTSD] diagnosis.
Ines, 30, was seen as one of the villains on last year’s season, which resulted in plenty of backlash as the show aired.
On Sunday, the reality TV star told The Daily Telegraph: ‘I have experienced so much hatred, death threats, shame about migrating to Australia from another country, racism and more because of what MAFS chose to show of me.’

‘I wasn’t well during and after (the show), I think that was obvious, but it got even worse last July,’ she told the publication.
‘That’s when it was the most brutal time for me and I was diagnosed with complex PTSD… It was 110 per cent caused from the show.’
Psychology Today describes PTSD as a mental health condition that can form in response to a traumatic event that happened recently or in the past.
Daily Mail Australia has approached Channel Nine for comment.

Revealing: ‘I wasn’t well during and after (the show), I think that was obvious, but it got even worse last July,’ she told the publication.
This comes after Ines reignited her feud with former MAFS co-star Martha Kalifatidis calling her ‘disgusting and a disgrace’.
Last week, Martha broadcast an Instagram live video where she said she would ‘rather have root canal surgery from now until the end of time’ than ever speak to Ines or their co-star Jessika Power again.
Hitting back, Ines said: ‘For over a year and a half, she’s (Martha’s) been dropping low blow, degrading, vulgar comments towards me and for whatever reason she decides to throw Jess into it as well.’

‘I just think it’s disgusting, you don’t speak that way about anyone and I had been copping it for a whole year… I don’t stand for that s**t, I don’t stand for that disgusting behaviour towards people.’
She also accused Martha of cheating, writing: ‘Oi b***h. Keep your mouth shut or I’ll make sure your gimp boyfriend knows you f**ked someone in my house and cheated on him. Good luck with your facts you pig looking b***h.’
Martha strenuously denies all of Ines claims about her.
