Married At First Sight UK has viewers hooked already, and this week iss the arrival of ‘yes’ week where one partner is given the control, and it didn’t get off to a good start for Amy Christophers and her husband Josh Christie.
The former glamour model, 34, didn’t take kindly to being told what to do.
Before the show aired, Amy opened up on Instagram about her nerves before this week’s episodes air.
She shared a video from the show’s official page, and captioned it: “I’m not watching this one,” with a grimacing and sad emoji.
Amy added: “Gonna be a hard week for me.”
She spent the day sharing glammed up pics before heading to an awards ceremony.
Fans weren’t impressed after Monday’s episode when younger man Josh, 26, got to take control for the week.
Amy became frustrated when he tried to make her a green smoothie with a raw egg in, and snatched the bottle from him, swatting his hands away and losing her temper.
“Am I the only person who cannot stand Amy? Pipe down you’re pushy and aggressive,” said one.
“God why is Amy making such a big deal about drinking a smoothie?” asked another.
“So because Amy didn’t want egg in her smoothie, she thought it was okay to throw something towards him? Where are they finding these rabid girls!?” fumed one viewer, after another bride Nikita did similar in an earlier episode.
Amy then turned the tables on Josh, inviting someone to do a tarot read and crystals with him, even though he was meant to be the one in charge.
At the end of the episode, a preview was shown with an emotional Amy as cracks deepened with Josh.
“I’m closing down,” she says in tears.
“I want to be able to tell him how I’m feeling but I just feel like if I do, he’s gonna run off.”
It’s not looking good for the pair.
Married at First Sight UK continues Mondays to Thursdays at 9pm on E4
