Married At First Sight‘s Cathy Evans looks set for a career as an Instagram influencer.

Whereas many of her co-stars are struggling to gain many followers, the 26-year-old logistics investigator has become this year’s breakout star and boasts 134,000 so far.

In recent weeks, she has endorsed a Sydney boutique, a hair extensions brand and a cosmetic clinic – and there are more sponsorships to come.

According to Instagram Money Calculator, Cathy can make up to $675-per-post from any brand willing to pay her for sponsored posts and endorsements. 

She could also line up ‘multi-post deals’ with leading brands, where she’d make thousands to repeatedly promote the same product over a period of time.

At present, Cathy has an engagement rate of 5.38% from her followers, with brands using this number and her amount of followers to calculate her worth. 

Although Cathy is yet to share a sponsored post to her own profile, several companies she has worked with lately have started tagging her in ads.

She boasted several thousand followers on Instagram as well as subscribers on her YouTube channel, but has denied using the show to boost her profile. 

Cathy, who has a degree in performing arts, has also denied acting on the show. 

The New Zealand born reality star split from ‘husband’ Josh Pihlak on Sunday.

Last week, it was revealed that most of this year’s MAFS stars may be forced to return to their day jobs, as their dreams of becoming Instagram influencers look uncertain.

Daily Mail Australia understands that some of the brides and grooms are ‘worried’ about their low follower counts and lack of interest from brands.

Statistics show last year’s cast had tens of thousands more followers by this stage in the experiment, proving that viewers are no longer as invested in the franchise as they once were.
