Oh, dear. It looks like one of the Married At First Sight brides may have spoiled the season finale.

Lauren Huntriss, who was the first person to leave the show alongside Matthew Bennett, revealed on Instagram that only ‘one couple’ are still together.

During a recent exchange with a MAFS fan on Instagram, she claimed that the entire 2019 cast were deliberately mismatched – with one notable exception.

Lauren’s post appears to confirm rumours that all of the MAFS couples eventually split, with the exception of Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant.

She made the telling remark in response to a MAFS fan who was complaining that Jessika Power only chose to ‘stay’ during Sunday’s commitment ceremony so she could cheat on her husband Mick Gould with another groom.

‘All for ratings sadly,’ Lauren wrote. ‘They mismatched all of us except for one couple. It would make for boring TV if we all were happy and drama free, right?’

It’s believed Lauren was referring to Jules and Cameron, who are considered the ‘golden couple’ of this year’s season.

Over the weekend, Jules even wished her ‘mother-in-law’ (Cameron’s mother) a happy birthday on Facebook, confirming they are still together.

So far, four couples have left the MAFS experiment: Lauren Huntriss and Matthew Bennett, Ines Basic and Bronson Norrish, Melissa Lucarelli and Dino Hira, and Elizabeth Sobinoff and Sam Ball.

It’s likely the next couples to leave will be Jessika Power and Mick Gould, and Dan Webb and Tamara Joy, due to Jessika and Dan’s affair.

A handful of other couples – including Mike Gunner and Heidi Latcham, Mark Scrivens and Ning Surasiang, and Nic Jovanovic and Cyrell Paul – are still together but on shaky ground.

Meanwhile, Michael Brunelli and Martha Kalifatidis’ relationship is going swimmingly on the show, making Lauren’s suggestion they have split all the more surprising.

Lauren has made no secret of her hatred of MAFS producers, claiming that she was portrayed unfairly and that her husband Matthew received an too favourable edit.

Married At First Sight continues Monday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine
