Married at First Sight couple ‘SPLIT’ after mere days as husband and wife

Married at First Sight saw Steph and Jonathan go on their honeymoon this evening.

They set out on a sunny holiday to Seville, Spain, to celebrate their marriage.

And although things looked good for Channel 4’s latest married couple, it apparently didn’t last long.

The couple have reportedly split up just days after their first-sight wedding.

According to The Sun, the couple – who walked down the aisle in last week’s episode – “can’t bear to be in the same room as each other.”

The couple’s friends apparently called the relationship “the worst match.”

Express.co.uk has contacted Channel 4 for comment.

Steph recently worried fans when she posted on social media without her wedding ring on, and now an “insider” has reportedly revealed all to the publication.

The source said: “Steph and Jonathan were a disastrous match – everyone knew it, even at the wedding,” says an insider.

“It was over within days and she took her ring off almost straight away.

“They can’t bear to be in the same room as each other now, and don’t communicate.”

This split obviously happened before the show aired, and has apparently since made things “really awkward” when promoting the new series.

The source continued: “They can’t even sit next to each other or put on a fake smile for interviews.

“It’s been a nightmare – her friends and family support her, but knew it wouldn’t last.”

Tonight’s episode saw Steph and Jonathan working each other out the morning after their wedding.

Steph was particularly perturbed by Jonathan’s incessant gift giving.

Last week viewers were in fits of laughter as one of the relationship experts on the show revealed her name.

The expert’s name was Dr. Pepper Schwartz, which sparked much outcry.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: “Hey Dr Pepper – #MarriedAtFirstSight – What’s the worst that could happen?”

Married at First Sight continues Wednesday at 9pm on Channel 4.
