Mark Wright set for TOWIE comeback with original cast for show's tenth anniversary

Mark Wright is said to have given the green light a return to hit ITV show TOWIE.

The Essex lad was one of the original cast members of the show, alongside Lauren Goodger, Amy Childs and Kirk Norcross.

Michelle Keegan‘s husband left the show in 2011 after three series – which mainly focused on his rocky relationship with Lauren.

He last appeared on any TOWIE related show in 2012 for the Christmas special, but it soon set to return, according to reports.

A TV source said: “Mark and producers are in discussions and he’s excited to come back into the fold.

“It’s thought he may also film some scenes with his sister Jess Wright.”

Mark Wright is said be be ready to return to TOWIE for a TV special

The insider added to The Sun: “It is early days but the former lothario has given the green light to a return for the very first time.

“There is an idea to have a stand-alone series with original cast members, who include Joey Essex and Amy Childs, although this will depend how many of the originals will go back — and for how long.

“Getting Mark on board is a huge coup. He has gone on to have the biggest success, so producers know if they sign Mark, the others will sign too.”

Daily Star Online has contacted representatives of Mark and TOWIE for comment.

Last week, Lauren Goodger set tongues wagging after she made a dig at all her exes, including Mark, with a savage Instagram post.

Alongside a provocative snap, the brunette beauty wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day to all the unlucky b*****s who lost us.

“Haha only kidding have a good one everyone.

“I’m just replying to all my side pieces.”

Mark was in the first three series of TOWIE

Mark is currently married to Our Girl babe Michelle Keegan.

The duo tied the knot in May 2015 and have worked hard to keep their romance as private as possible.

The former Coronation Street actress told Daily Star Sunday’s TV Life magazine: “No one knows how much we see each other because we don’t publicise it.

“People say, ‘Ah, they haven’t seen each other for ages,’ but they don’t know.

“Mark sometimes comes home for a weekend and no one know he’s even there. Over the years we’ve learned how to do that.”
