Mark Ruffalo ‘got a call from up high’ after accidentally live-streaming Thor: Ragnarok

Mark Ruffalo’s spoiler skills are pretty legendary when it comes to the Avengers franchise.

Heck, the 50-year-old gave away the entire ending to Infinity War 10 months before it was released.

But it was his live-streaming of the first 20 minutes of Thor: Ragnarok that landed him in a whole heap of trouble.

Mark has revealed he got a telling off from Disney bosses after he accidentally live streamed the audio of a Thor: Ragnarok screening to Instagram.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the star admitted: ‘That was the one that got me the call from up high.’

However, the stunt soon turned around in Mark’s favour.

The actor, who plays Hulk/Bruce Banner in the MCU, said: ‘It sort of turned around on me, because when I came to work on Monday [on the set of Endgame] everyone ran up to me.

‘I thought they were coming to scream at me — Barry [Curtis, Marvel Studios security], he threw his arms around me. “That was genius! We got more press than we could have possibly paid for!”’

Chris Hemsworth, aka Thor, also called the cock-up ‘genius’, telling the magazine: ‘There might be some strategy there, because [the audience] laughed so hard during that [footage]. All [viewers] could hear was laughing. They went, “It must be good!”’

Mark is on his best behaviour during the Endgame press tour, though, saying he’s been to ‘reeducation camp’ when it comes to giving away plot details.

At least he’s not the only one in the MCU with loose lips.

Spider-Man actor Tom Holland is so bad at keeping secrets, he hasn’t seen a full script for the finale in the Avengers franchise.

Speaking at a press event earlier this month, director Joe Russo said: ‘Yeah, Tom Holland does not get the script. Tom Holland gets his lines and that’s it. He doesn’t even know who he’s acting opposite of.

‘We’ll just, we use like very vague terms to describe to him what is happening in the scene, because he has a very difficult time keeping his mouth shut.’

Well, can you blame him?

Avengers: Endgame is one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year, with the blockbuster set to see our heroes attempt to get the Infinity Stones back from Thanos in order to reverse the snap that wiped out half the universe.

Avengers: Endgame hits UK cinemas on 25 April.
