As soon as it was announced that 54-year-old Marisa Tomei would be portraying Aunt May Parker in the Spider-Man reboot, fans complained she was much too young for the role.

And on Wednesday, Tomei pointed a symbolic middle finger at the trolls while walking the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

The actress donned a youthfully pink gown that featured a cape and ruffles on the red carpet of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Tomei smiled from ear to ear as she strutted her stuff on the carpet, her pink cape flowing effortlessly behind her.

Her gown featured nude panels under the arms, making the dress appear backless.

The My Cousin Vinny star wore her brunette locks in a classy bun with a mature middle part.

She accessorized with a pair of gold dangly earrings, finishing the look with pointy black heels.

Tom Holland, 23, donned a monochromatic look for the red carpet, sporting a burgundy shirt under a burgundy suit with burgundy dress shoes.

Even his eye-wear matched the deep red wine hue.

Actress and singer Zendaya, 22, wore a quintessentially Spidery ensemble, donning a backless red and black dress.

The dress glimmered as she walked down the red carpet in pointy black stilettos.

The Crazy Stupid Love actress joins a stellar line-up in the latest offering from the Spider-Man franchise, including Samuel L. Jackson, 70, Jake Gyllenhaal, 38, and Zendaya.

In the new film about the web-slinging superhero, Spider-Man is leaving New York behind to go on the school trip to Europe.

‘We’ve taken Spider-Man outside of Queens and we put him on the world stage…we’ve taken him to London, Venice, Prague,’ Tom Holland told Reuters.

Peter Parker, played by Holland, simply wants to enjoy himself and share his romantic feelings with his love interest MJ, played by Zendaya.

Parker is reluctant to go on the trip, and his resistance is proven well founded when he is forced to fight off a new enemy, once again.

‘In this film he’s trying to hang up the suit and not be Spider-Man for a while and take a break. And wherever he goes it seems that trouble follows,’ Holland said.

And while Aunt May won’t be joining her nephew on his trip, movie trailers have made it seem like a budding romance with Happy Hogan is in the air.
