Mariah Carey has been tipped to headline at Brighton Pride this year.

Pride is already an exciting event, but add the one and only Mariah to the mix and you’ll have paradise.

The Fantasy singer will finally be part of the international superstar line-up that Brighton Pride is known to get.

Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue and Jessie J have performed over the years and it was everything and more.

An insider spilled to The Sun: ‘Brighton Pride has set a precedent in the last few years for getting the biggest names, so securing Mariah is brilliant in proving they are one of the leading Pride events worldwide.

‘It seems like she will do about 45 minutes — despite being paid a six-figure fee.’

This year’s Brighton Pride In The Park theme will be Fabuloso, a fantastic and fabulous celebration of who you are.

Considering Mariah was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame for recognition of her work in music, we know 45 minutes is going to be enough to floor us.

The legendary diva was among the names confirmed to be given the prestigious accolade, alongside the likes of Pharrell Williams, Annie Lennox and more.

Mariah told her followers: ‘I can’t believe it… The SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME!!!! This is truly one of the greatest honors of my career.

‘I’m so proud and humbled to be in the company of such legendary songwriters – both previously inducted as well as the incredible class of 2020!’

Mariah is being recognised for her work co-writing most of her hit songs, including All I Want For Christmas Is You.

She shared a photo of her sitting in a clear Perspex bubble chair with a notepad and pen, as well as a shot of her name and photo on the Hall of Fame alongside some of the other inductees.

As well as Mariah, the class of 2020 included Rick Nowels, who co-wrote Belinda Carlisle’s Heaven is a Place on Earth and Dido’s White Flag.
