Two-time Oscar nominee Margot Robbie has spoken out in support of Prince Harry’s decision to relocate to Canada in the aftermath of ‘Megxit’.

The prince and his wife Meghan Markle made the decision last month to step back from royal responsibilities to carve out a ‘progressive new role’ and to become ‘financially independent’.

In an interview with The Sun, Margot has spoken about her friendship with the royal and how she can relate to the difficulty that comes with moving away from a place you call home.

‘I have known Prince Harry for a while and he is a really great guy,’ she said. ‘I know as much as anybody what a big decision it is to move halfway across the world. I still miss London a lot but I had my reasons for moving and they have their reasons for the decision.’

The actress lived in London with friends for years before relocating to LA with her now-husband, filmmaker Tom Ackerley. She even suggested how much she and Tom would love to dine with Harry and Meghan.

‘It isn’t something taken lightly. If they are going to spend more time in LA, we would love to have dinner with them,’ she said, calling Prince Harry ‘the most normal guy ever’.

Isn’t that sweet?

The actress met Prince Harry at model Suki Waterhouse’s housewarming party back in December 2015.

She also spoke jokingly about not realising who he was initially – it apparently took her ‘half an hour’ to realise she was chatting to the royal – as well as mistaking him for Ed Sheeran.

‘When I saw him in those glasses I was like, “Oh my God, I didn’t know Ed Sheeran was at the party”,’ she previously said. ‘And he was really offended. He was like, “Shut up!”‘
