Margaret Hayes, President and CEO of Fashion Group International, dies at 79


Margaret Hayes, president and CEO of Fashion Group International died on
Thursday from breast cancer, the non-profit organization announced on its
website. She was 79.

With over 5,000 members, Fashion Group International aims to help the
fashion industry to become more effective by providing insights on major
trends, a resource library and industry events such as the FGI Business
Symposium, FGI connect and the benefit gala Night of Stars, which was
directly overseen by Hayes.

Hayes first joined Fashion Group International in 1994, already in the
role of President, following a successful career as Senior Vice President
and General Merchandise Manager at Saks Fifth Avenue.
