Marcus Rashford jokingly snubbed Rio Ferdinand when naming his favourite Man Utd player growing up.
The United forward used some of his free time on lockdown to take part in a Q&A with Ferdinand and BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey.
Rashford has enjoyed a steep rise to stardom with United, from youth player to first-team star.
And the boyhood United fan revealed he had achieved a lifelong ambition to play for the Red Devils alongside former United and England captain Wayne Rooney, while firing an amusing jibe at Ferdinand.
When asked to select his favourite player, Rashford said: “I am not saying him [Ferdinand], he’s a centre-half!”

Before adding: “I’d probably say Wazza [Rooney] – he has obviously been a massive part of my development and it was just a dream come true to play with him on the pitch after watching him for so many years.”
The exchange was Rashford’s latest involvement in a Q&A, with some of his previous attempts offering an interesting insight.
Like Rooney helped him when he first got into the senior United side, Rashford is now passing on his experience by mentoring youngster Mason Greenwood.

And Rashford has tipped his strike partner for success, providing he puts in the commitment.
“Mason’s got everything to be as good as he wants to be,” Rashford told Bleacher Report . “All the attributes to be a forward at the top level.
“It’s just about him pushing himself. don’t need to listen to things on the outside, just keep pushing and improving.
“As a forward there’s not much else you can ask for in terms of natural ability.

“Hopefully he continues to work hard. Unbelievable talent.”
Rashford is certainly setting a good example off the pitch, after helping to raise £20million in cash and food donations.
He has been working with charity FareShare to help distribute food to children who are usually given meals at school.
The forward has also been involved in the Players Together NHS fund, and spoke highly of his teammate Harry Maguire in getting the difficult negotiations complete.
“It has been tough,” Rashford said. “I think from the beginning we knew what we wanted but getting it to this stage has been difficult.
“From our part [at United] Harry Maguire has played a huge part in communicating the information between the players and really letting us have our say and reporting it back to the authorities. That is the best way to do it.
“It wasn’t easy so credit to the people that played a big part in that.”
