Man’s amazing 9st weight loss after being HYPNOTISED into thinking he’d had gastric bypass op

A MAN has shed a staggering nine stone after being tricked into thinking he’d undergone weight loss surgery.

James Barton’s frame ballooned to 18st 8lbs thanks to his addiction to chocolate Mini Rolls.

But, after years of trying fad diets to break his cravings, he started to look for new and different weight loss alternatives.

After overhearing people discussing hypnotism in the gym, the 22-year-old booked a session – not really believing it would work.

Stunned, James claims that after just three one-hour sessions he was tricked into believing he’s had a gastric bypass operation, thinking his stomach had shrunk.

He said his appetite immediately lessened, and two years on he now weighs a healthy 9st 8lbs and has ditched the Mini Rolls.

“I was tired of starting new diets and only sticking to them for a matter of days,” he said.

“I was overweight and always hungry – any sort of diet or fitness that I tired to do wouldn’t help because I was never full.

“I would eat massive carb-heavy meals full of chips and bread and I’d have 10 Mini Rolls in a single setting.”

But after hearing about hypnotism, James from Coventry, decided he had nothing to lose.

“I didn’t think it would work,” he admitted.

“But I was desperate for something and I would try anything, so I booked a session.”

It was after his second session that he realised he was already losing weight.

The 22-year-old was hypnotised three times, at a cost of £295 – a fraction of the £15,000 it can cost to have a gastric bypass operation.

While he was under, he was tricked into thinking he had had the op, where surgeons create a small pouch at the top of your stomach, and attach it to the small intestines to bypass the majority of the stomach.

The surgery means it takes less food to make you feel hungry.

JAMES’S DIET OVERHAUL

James’s diet before:

Breakfast: Nothing

Snack: 10 chocolate mini rolls

Lunch: Chip sandwich with tomato sauce

Dinner: Portion of chips with bread

James’s diet after:

Breakfast: Banana

Snack: Fruit and lots of water

Lunch: Chicken salad

Dinner: Chicken, mashed potatoes, veg

But for James, his therapy had the same effect.

“The hypnotism made me feel full and made my body realise it didn’t need to eat anymore,” he said.

“Suddenly I felt a lot more full and I didn’t have to binge eat all of the time.

“I can’t believe it’s worked and helped me to ditch the weight – and what I can now acknowledge as – my Mini Roll addiction.

“It’s completely changed my life, now I’m able to look in the mirror and not hate what I see.”

Now, James is working on getting stronger and building muscle at the gym.

And his weight loss has meant he can start boxing and get into playing rugby.

He had his hypnotherapy sessions with David Kilmurry, in Coventry.

Life coach, David explained: “Prior to the hybrid gastric bypass James had to address his addiction to chocolate Mini Rolls.

“It is highly dangerous to develop binge eating disorder as it is the biggest cause of obesity, heart disease, heart attacks and fatal health issues in the western world.

“The Hybrid Gastric Bypass Kilmurry method is a virtual bariatric operation which develops a tight fullness feeling and offered to patients which have this disorder to counterbalance volume.

“Now, after the treatment, James enjoys small but regular healthy meals which develops a tightness and gradual understanding that food is not the enemy and actually helps your system to recover to a nice healthy weight.”
