Mandy Moore returns with new music after 10 years as she admits it’s ‘terrifying’

Mandy Moore has returned with new music after a decade, admitting that the whole experience is just a little bit terrifying.

Plus, she’s revealed there are more tunes to come and we can’t wait.

The 35-year-old blessed us with her track When I Wasn’t Watching (it’s an absolute bop) and the music video, before revealing that there’s more where that came from during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories.

When one fan asked her: ‘New single at midnight?’ the star explained: ‘That’s the plan.

‘And it’s a little terrifying, truth be told. It’s been 10 years. But this is just the beginning. More music to come.’

With another viewer asking what she hopes to accomplish by the end of the year, she added: ‘Maybe finishing my record.’

As for a tour? ‘Stay tuned,’ she teased.

We’re going to be needing more info immediately, girl.

Mandy previously revealed that she’d be recording music during the hiatus of her show This Is Us.

‘Yes! With my husband [Taylor Goldsmith]! We have things written, ready to go,’ she explained to People magazine. ‘Our hiatus starts soon, so I’m getting ready to go in the studio.’

However, Mandy made headlines after she joined six other women who came forward with allegations against her ex, Ryan Adams, in an expose in the New York Times.

He was accused of sexual misconduct, being controlling and emotionally abusive, and allegedly sending one woman sexually explicit messages when she was underage.

Nevertheless, the actress, who had not released any new songs since they tied the knot, back in 2009, vowed: ‘I want to make music. I’m not going to let Ryan stop me.’

Despite not having released any music in a long while, Mandy’s definitely been keeping herself busy, starring in This Is Us, becoming an actual Disney princess in Tangled, and climbing to Mount Everest’s base camp.

As you do.
