Manchester United beat Norwegian side Kristiansund in the penultimate friendly of their pre-season campaign thanks to a late penalty converted by Juan Mata.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s men remain unbeaten so far this pre-season, winning five from five, although that record was almost blemished by an unconvincing performance in Norway.
In the final minutes the United manager’s 19-year-old son, Noah Solskjaer, came off the bench to make his debut for Kristiansund against his father’s side in what was a special moment for the Solskjaer family.
A moment later the deadlock was broken when Paul Pogba played in Mata, who was fouled in the penalty area. The Spanish midfielder dusted himself down to convert from the spot.
Kristiansund are currently midway through their third consecutive season in Norway’s top flight.
