Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Haaland has described speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United as ‘f*****g boring’.
The Norwegian forward has attracted attention from across Europe this term after hitting 15 goals in 12 appearances for the Austrian side.
Erling’s father, Alf-Inge, played for Leeds United and Manchester City but the 19-year-old played under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde and was given his debut at the club by the Manchester Unietd boss.
That has inevitably led to speculation that Solskjaer – who is desperate to sign a striker – will move for Haaland.
But while the teenager is flattered by the reports, he insists he’s ‘f*****g’ bored of it now.
‘The media attention is huge. It’s good pressure,’ said Haaland.
‘The club is good at shielding me a little, but I hope it will be more shielding in the future. It will be difficult, but we will try. I want to be shielded.”
‘It’s f*cking boring. I’m bored now.
‘How bored on a scale of 1 to 10? 9.9.’
Solskjaer wants to sign a forward as well as an attacking midfielder in January.
Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is one target with Metro.co.uk revealing earlier this week that United are preparing a move for the Dane.
United are also likely to move for Juventus star Mario Mandzukic due to Solskjaer’s concerns that none of his long-term targets will be available in January.
