Manchester United are targeting a new move for Mario Mandzukic with Juventus lowering their asking price from the summer, according to reports.

United came close to signing the Croatia international in the summer as a £14 million deal was reportedly finalised, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side pulled out of the transfer.

Solskjaer now admits that he is keen to bolster his attacking options in January having failed to sign a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

But United’s options in the January transfer window will be limited as clubs reluctant to sell their first-choice strikers midway through a season.
