Inter have offered £63million to Manchester United for Romelu Lukaku in the form of a two-year loan deal, according to reports in Italy.

Lukaku is keen on a switch to Inter and has recently talked up his desire to play in Serie A.

United were holding out for £80m upfront for Lukaku and have turned down several player-exchange offers from Inter.

But Gianluca Di Marzio.com now claims Inter have changed tactics and offered a two-year loan deal that would see £9m paid this summer and an obligation to buy for £54m at the end of the loan spell.

United have indicated they are open to the idea of a loan deal and will begin talks with Inter over the overall transfer fee.

Lukaku wants to move on from United after a stop-start career at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho spent £75m to bring Lukaku to the club, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has consistently started Marcus Rashford upfront ahead of the Belgian.

United are prepared to offload Lukaku and Solskjaer will add signing a new striker to his to-do list this summer if the 26-year-old leaves.

Despite his desire to move on, Lukaku is not prepared to force his way out of United.
