Manchester United new boy Noam Emeran has revealed why rejected Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in order to move to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils won a hotly-contested race to sign the 16-year-old last month when he put pen-to-paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal at the Theatre of Dreams.

The length of the contract reflects the potential of the winger, who impressed United during a trial in the north-west when he was at former club Amiens.

Emeran cites United forward Anthony Martial as one of his idols and the teenager has further endeared himself to United fans by revealing he rejected Barcelona and PSG to move to the club,

‘Manchester United were more convincing than Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona,’ Emeran told Le Parisien.

‘The choice was made with my family and with my lawyer.’

The midfielder, who can play on the left or right wing, is expected to work under Nicky Butt in United’s academy until he’s ready for the first team.

The teenager recently bumped into Wayne Rooney on a United matchday and revealed the United legend’s advice to him.

‘He told me: a player’s career choice ends up being good or bad depending on his determination,’ said Emeran.

‘I understood that I needed to demand more from myself.

‘I’m living a dream, but I need to stay grounded because the final goal is far from being reached. I’ll need to work even harder to make it at Manchester United.’
