Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to rule out a move for Paulo Dybala and claims Manchester United are hopeful they can bring in ‘a fresh face or two’ before deadline day.
Widespread reports before United’s pre-season win over Kristiansund on Tuesday claimed that Dybala’s agent had landed in England to hold talks over a possible transfer move from Juventus to Old Trafford.
Juve are interested in signing Romelu Lukaku and the Serie A champions are ready to include Argentina forward Dybala in any potential deal for the United striker.
Some reports suggest that Juve have offered Dybala plus Mario Mandzukic and £10million in exchange for Lukaku, with Maurizio Sarri desperate to work with the Belgian in Turin.
Asked about a possible move for Dybala, Solskjaer replied: ‘I’m not here to talk about any rumours or speculation about other team’s players.
‘But of course we’re working on one or two cases, as I’ve said before.
‘There’s another ten days before we start the league and hopefully we can announce a fresh face or two.’
More to follow.
