SCOTT McTOMINAY has starred on the Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 cover – and fans joke Lionel Messi is “honoured” to join him.
The Manchester United midfielder is featured alongside the Barcelona ace as well as Ex-Arsenal and Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry and Juventus man Miralem Pjanic.

Fans were left stunned with the news – but one joked it was an “honour” for five-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi to join the cover with United’s McTominay.
The fan hilariously posted: Lionel messi: ‘It’s an honour to be on the same cover as Scott mctominay, he’s the best player in the world.’
“Miralem Pjanic: ‘I’m proud that pes chose me alongside other great players, like Lionel and Scott, Scott I hope to model my game on this coming season’.”
The United midfielder was in fact “proud” to be on the game cover – sharing the news on Instagram.
United and PES owners Konami last month signed a long-term partnership that will see the Reds finally be licensed in the game.
Victor Lindelof, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, and Paul Pogba were all selected to promote the upcoming PES 2020.
However, McTominay was surprisingly chosen as Koanmi’s ambassador.
Fans were still baffled with the 22-year-old’s front cover feature.
One said: “Lionel Messi feeling blessed to be on the same PES 2020 cover as the absolute baller Scott McTominay.”
Another said: “As if Scott McTominay has made the PES 2020 cover the world has gone mad.”
