Man Utd’s Fernandes reveals daily lockdown routine including double training sessions and vows to be back scoring soon

MANCHESTER UNITED star Bruno Fernandes has shared his daily lockdown routine with fans and vowed to be back at Old Trafford scoring soon.

The £55million signing has become an instant huge fan favourite having helped fire the Red Devils into top-four contention before the Premier League was suspended.

And February’s Player of the Month has opened up about staying fit and healthy during quarantine and revealed the double training sessions he has been putting in.

He said: “So I will explain my routine in this time of quarantine.

“In the morning I wake up, normally like everyone, I have my breakfast, I give the breakfast to my little baby. After this, we go out with the dog. We spent a little bit of time with the dog out.

“And we came back, I have my first session of training. After we have lunch, we rest a little bit in the afternoon. So, after this we play together, normally sometimes I have two sessions of training so I need to train also in the afternoon.

“But most of the time I have time to spend with my family, with my baby, watch some series, watch some movies, with the family, despite the need to be at home, to be safe.

To enjoy the time we have to be with our families because normally when we have competitions we can’t enjoy this time or not too much because we have a lot of time in trips, games, and everything.

“So I think this is the right moment to enter our family, to enjoy our time at home. I hope everyone is safe at home. And for sure, soon, we’ll be together at Old Trafford and scoring goals again.”

Fernandes has also been entertaining fans by having a go at the Living Room Cup dreamt up by Nike.

The Portuguese has called on everyone to stay fit and active during coronavirus lockdown by doing as many ab crunches as possible in 45 seconds.

Setting the early pace was former United star Cristiano Ronaldo, the 35-year-old performing 142 reps while seeing out the pandemic in Madeira.

Among the first to challenge the Juventus winger was international teammate Fernandes – but he could only notch 117 crunches in the allotted time.
