Aaron Wan-Bissaka will soon establish himself as England’s first-choice right-back.
But the Manchester United star, handed his first senior call-up for the Three Lions for the games against Bulgaria and Kosovo, has to add patience to his game if he wants to make the most of his talent.
That’s according to Viv Anderson, the former United, Arsenal , Nottingham Forest and England right-back.
He said: “I’m surprised Kyle Walker has been dropped, because I saw him play last weekend and I thought he did very well.
“But I understand getting Wan-Bissaka in because he is going to be England’s next full-back.

“I like Wan-Bissaka, he’s composed on the ball, he’s tough and he doesn’t like to get beaten.
“That’s what you want from your full-backs, because these days people are always talking about how good they are going forward and how many goals they score and chances they create.
“But, fundamentally, you’re in that team to defend.
“Wan-Bissaka is one of those who likes defending and doesn’t like to get beaten, and I like that in him.

“He’s still young and has lots to improve on, but there’s no better club at which to learn his trade than Manchester United with the players he has around him.”
Anderson enjoyed a glittering career spanning the late Seventies, Eighties and early Nineties.
He won the old First Division title, two European Cups and the European Super Cup under Brian Clough at Forest.
As well as three League Cups — two at Forest and one at Arsenal — and then the FA Cup in 1990 with United.

He also won 30 caps for England in a pioneering career which saw him become the first black player to represent the nation.
Wan-Bissaka will do well to get anywhere near a trophy haul like Anderson’s but, if he works on the areas of his game the ex-England star feels he must, then he can become one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.
Anderson added: “He has to be a bit more patient, he sometimes dives in on things he has no right to win, so he needs to stay on his feet as much as he can.
“But he’s quick enough to get back and recover.
“I’d like to see him in the final third a bit more, see if he can get to the byline and get crosses in and maybe add goals to his game.
“But he’s only 21 and he still has lots and lots to learn.”
