Abel Ruiz to Sporting Lisbon

Sporting Lisbon are finalising a deal for Barcelona talent Abel Ruiz.

Spanish publication Sport claim Ruiz, 19, is set to complete an 18-month loan to the Portuguese side with only a few formalities left to resolve.

Valencia and a few other clubs had shown interest in the centre-forward, who has scored twice and provided three assists for Barcelona B this season.

The two parties are still negotiating a purchase option and a buy-back clause but Ruiz is likely to arrive in Lisbon to complete a medical in the next few days.

His arrival could trigger Bruno Fernandes’ long-awaited move away from the club.

Bruno Fernandes to Manchester City

Manchester City are preparing to hijack Manchester United’s pursuit of Bruno Fernandes.

Thats the audacious claim from Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha, who claim Pep Guardiola wants the 25-year-old at the Etihad Stadium.

Ed Woodward and Co. have been busy trying to negotiate a deal for the Portuguese midfielder but talks have stalled over a fee.

And that could open the door for City.

Correio de Manha claim the Premier League champions are prepared to pay around £86million (€100m) for Fernandes – but only at the end of the current campaign.

Luis Campos snub

Luis Campos has no interest in joining Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been linked with Lille’s highly-rated Director of Football, who has unearthed gems including Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and Thomas Lemar.

But it doesn’t look like a deal will happen.

French publication Le10 Sport claim Campos is happy with his role in France and has not been contacted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Bruno Fernandes request

Bruno Fernandes wants to complete a move to Manchester United in January.

That’s according to Sky Sports, who claim the Portuguese midfielder has told Sporting Lisbon that he’s desperate to leave.

Talks between the two parties are expected to continue on Monday to resolve the remaining financial issues.

Fernandes, 25, has agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford club but Sporting are unhappy with the structure of payment and would like more of the £68million paid up front.
