Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Aaron Wan-Bissaka medical, Barcelona plot, £100m deal decision

08:20 UPDATE: £100m Harry Maguire decision

Manchester United have decided to end their interest in Harry Maguire because of the price tag Leicester have slapped on him.

Express Sport understands Maguire made his way on to United’s list of targets thanks to his stellar performances for the Foxes and England.

However, it seems Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to turn his attentions elsewhere in order to snare a new centre-back.

The Daily Star claim United have decided against pursuing Maguire further because Leicester are demanding £100m to let him go.

07:50 UPDATE: Barcelona reject Samuel Umtiti approach

Barcelona have knocked Manchester United back after the north-west giants asked about signing Samuel Umtiti.

Bolstering United’s defence is a top priority after they conceded 54 goals in the Premier League last season.

And Umtiti emerged as an option having drifted down the pecking order under Ernesto Valverde at the Nou Camp.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim, however, that Barcelona snubbed United – just as the Catalan giants did when the Red Devils made an enquiry regarding Victor Lindelof.

07:20 UPDATE: Aaron Wan-Bissaka undergoes medical

Manchester United are close to wrapping up their second summer deal with Aaron Wan-Bissaka on course to complete a medical today.

The right-back underwent routine tests on Wednesday night having travelled to Manchester on a private jet.

And he will be put through his paces at Carrington today as he gears up to become the joint most-expensive English player in history.

United are set to hand Crystal Palace £50m for Wan-Bissaka, who will be one of the first names on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team sheet next season.
