Man Utd target Paulo Dybala has changed mind on transfer after Juventus agreement

Manchester United and Juventus have reportedly agreed a stunning swap deal that would see Dybala and Romelu Lukaku exchange places.

Lukaku has been hunting a move to Inter Milan all summer long having been told by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he will be Marcus Rashford’s deputy next season.

However, Inter have been unable to agree a fee with Manchester United, with their latest offer of £54million being swiftly rejected.

That has allowed Juventus to swoop in, with the Old Lady willing to include Dybala as part of the deal.

The Argentina international fell down the pecking order last season following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

And new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to make Lukaku and Ronaldo the two talismans of his side.

The Irish Independent say that Dybala initially had doubts about moving to United, who have no Champions League football to offer.

But those same doubts have evaporated and a move to United now appears to be very much on the cards.

Dybala’s stance supposedly changed the minute Juventus made it clear to him he was surplus to requirements.

But whether United are able to agree personal terms with the striker remains to be seen.

Should the deal go through, it will be the second Red Devils swap deal since January 2018.

Back then, United landed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

And, in order to beat Manchester City to the Chile international, they used Henrikh Mkhitaryan to barter with the Gunners.

ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop believes Dybala can be a key player for United, saying: “I like Dybala a lot. I think he’s an incredible finisher.

“He hasn’t had the best of times at Juventus and has seen himself deemed surplus to requirements.

“But as a finisher, when he’s on form and playing with confidence, I don’t think there are many in world football better than him.

“Given the way Manchester United play, or given the way others play against Manchester United, where you do have possession very close to the box, where maybe Lukaku’s own strength is running in behind defenders with open space, he doesn’t have that many opportunities.

“[So] Dybala is a far better fit.

“I would do this as quickly as anybody would offer it.”
