Man Utd 'take closer look' at Thomas Tuchel as they consider managerial options

Manchester United chiefs are reportedly taking a close look at Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel as they consider their managerial options.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer struggling to get his rebuild off the ground, the Red Devils could opt for a summer change if they miss out on a return to the Premier League top four.

Mauricio Pochettino and Massimiliano Allegri have been heavily linked with the job if they do decide to sack Solskjaer.

But according to Le10 Sport , they are growing to increasingly ‘appreciate’ Tuchel and are amongst three clubs keen to pounce if he departs the French capital at the end of the season.

Tuchel knows his future is tied to their Champions League success, with a desperate need to reach the semi-finals of the competition at least.

They face his old club Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 and need to bounce back from their last-gasp defeat to Manchester United last year.

If they fail to reach the last four, United could make a move to acquire his services.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also said to be keen on the German manager with uncertainty over their top jobs.

He this week admitted his desire to return to management in the Premier League.

“To be honest, I would love to work in the Premier League,” he told the In The Pink podcast.
