Man Utd star Anthony Martial makes Bruno Fernandes joke on Instagram and fans love it

Manchester United star Anthony Martial had a hilarious message for Bruno Fernandes after the Red Devils’ 3-0 win against Watford on Sunday afternoon. Fernandes opened the scoring from the penalty spot at Old Trafford before Martial and Mason Greenwood netted to secure the victory.

United’s summer signing Fernandes played a part in all three goals, with the Portugal international getting the assist for Greenwood’s strike.

Martial now has 15 goals in all competitions, with the France ace playing as United’s No 9 in recent weeks following Marcus Rashford’s injury.

And Martial took to social media to joke with Fernandes about his service in United’s win against Watford.

“Great win and please @brunofernandes.10 next time give me a better pass,” Martial wrote on Instagram alongside a laughing emoji and a flame emoji.

Fernandes simply replied: “Really?” with a laughing emoji.

And United fans lauded the duo after their social media exchange.

One United fan commented: “Ah I’m loving the bromance.”

Another said: “I love your combination the more time you spend together the more the bond will grow.”

“Banter partnership,” one supporter joked.

“The combo!!!” Another United fan said.

A fellow supporter wrote: “Like this feeling…”

“Magical,” one fan simply put.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hailed his January signing after the win, claiming Fernandes is a mix between former United midfielders Paul Scholes and Juan Sebastian Veron.

He said in his post-match press conference: “He has come in and given everyone a big boost, not just the team, but the supporters too.

“He felt from the first minute like a big personality in our group.

“He was confident straight away and is like a mix of Scholes and Veron.

“Bruno Fernandes is quicker than he looks. Very excited by having him in.

“He has come in, given everyone a boost and wants to conduct a game. There are big games coming up now.”

Fernandes was vocal after United’s victory at Old Trafford, revealing he needs to continue scoring.

“This is the day every player wants to have,” he said. “I feel lucky to score, I feel lucky to win the game.

“We all gave our best and we all deserved the win. I just need to help the team, it’s what I want to do, it’s what I need to do.

“I hope [Anthony] Martial scores more goals too like he did tonight.”

United are back in action on Thursday evening in the Europa League against Club Brugge.
