MAN Utd teen star Angel Gomes turned up to pay tribute to a tragic sport-mad schoolboy who died after playing with pals.
Petro Dixon, ten, collapsed during a rugby game last month.
Passers-by performed CPR at a park in Salford, Gtr Manchester.
Arsenal fan Petro was rushed to hospital, where he had two ops to relieve pressure on his brain.
Despite battling to save him, Petro passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest – believed to have been caused by a burst blood vessel.
Petro’s family held a memorial service on June 29 and said “everyone was welcome” to join and release balloons in his memory.
They were amazed when the young United starlet Gomes, 18, turned up unannounced to pay his respects and make a donation.
A source said: “Gomes didn’t know the boy or his family but he’d heard about what happened.
“It’s a wonderful gesture and meant so much to his family.”
The midfielder scored in a pre-season friendly against Spurs last week.
