Man Utd should be commended for backing Ole Gunnar Solksjaer – but calls for his head will increase

I can only commend Manchester United for coming out in support of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and saying they will back him in the transfer market.

I’ve already gone on record to say it’s ludicrous to appoint a manager, ask him to change the culture and ethos of the club and then dump him after four months of football.

That is insane. You want him to change the mentality of pursuing instant results, to move away from the disastrous policy of buying “experience” and “names”, to focus on youth and the future. But you want that to happen overnight?!
