Man Utd set unwanted Premier League record ahead of Man City showdown

Manchester United have set an unwanted Premier League record – before they even kick a ball against Manchester City .

The Red Devils have been quoted as big as 6/1 by some bookmakers to beat their rivals at Old Trafford – the longest price they have ever been for a home game in the top flight.

They are 11/2 to take the three points with Ladbrokes, the highest the bookie has quoted for a United home Premier League game.

The previous longest was 11/5 in the same fixture last season.

United’s odds come after a run of six defeats in eight games.

A further defeat to Wolves, two losses against Barcelona and Sunday’s 4-0 humbling by Everton have followed leaving bookies in no doubt of the result on Wednesday night.
