The Serie A side will apparently only discuss a swap deal if a player is involved who they are actively interested in, meaning Barca could be forced to wait a year.
That will be welcome news to United, who are unlikely to try and make a swap move.
Meanwhile, Martinez’s agent, Beto Yaque, has insisted that the youngster remains solely focused on Inter.
“It’s been said that Barcelona and Real Madrid both want him, but for him it’s like nothing is happening. Others wouldn’t sleep at night,” he said.
