Manchester United had their top four hopes dashed further as they were held by Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
United fell behind in the 11th minute, when attacking midfielder Jack Grealish smashed in an eye-catching opener.
The Red Devils were level before the end of the first half though as Marcus Rashford met an outrageous cross from Andreas Pereira with a flicked header.
The effort hit the post and rolled back across the goal line, where Tom Heaton inadvertently touched into his on goal.
In the 64th minute Victor Lindelof looped a header at the back post over Heaton after a deflected cross from Fred.
But just 112 seconds later though, Tyrone Mings lashed past David de Gea as he beat the offside trap – with neither side managing to find a winner.
Here is how Man Utd’s players rated…
David De Gea 6
Caught out completely by Grealish for the opening goal. Left exposed for the second.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka 6
Got forward into some decent positions, but final ball let him down.
Victor Lindelof 6
Too many aimless long balls forward early on but put United ahead with header.
Harry Maguire 7
Booked after seven minutes for hauling back El Ghazi. But solid thereafter.
Brendan Williams 6
Worked hard by sub Trezeguet. Played Mings onside for Villa’s equaliser. Subbed.
Booked for a second cynical foul on Grealish in first-half. Sloppy passing early on.
Andreas Pereira 6
Not tight enough to Grealish for the opener. Atoned with assist for equaliser.
Juan Mata 5
Played ball to Pereira for the cross that led to leveller but not much else. Subbed.
Daniel James 6
Subdued in the first-half, largely due to being afforded little time and space.
Anthony Martial 6
Produced United’s first shot on target in first-half. Bursts of danger but not enough.
Marcus Rashford 7
Passing awry in first-half but his header off Heaton’s back got United level.
Lingard 5 (Mata, 74)
Shaw 5 (Williams, 79)
Greenwood 5 (Martial, 82)
