Man Utd pick between Jadon Sancho and Callum Hudson-Odoi summer transfers

Manchester United have been linked with moves for both Hudson-Odoi and Sancho ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are keen to sign a young, pacey winger at the end of the campaign with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer determined to add more speed to his squad.

Hudson-Odoi has been linked with a move to Manchester United at a time where his future at Chelsea is shrouded in uncertainty.

The England international’s contract expires in 2020 and, as of yet, the Blues have been unable to tie him down to a new deal.

Sancho has also been backed to join United amid his stunning form in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

Yet the Daily Mail say Sancho is merely an alternative target, with Hudson-Odoi their No 1 priority.

There is an acceptance, however, that any transfer will be difficult.

Chelsea are adamant the 18-year-old will not going anywhere, regardless of his contract situation.

And, with a transfer ban, the Blues would be unable to sign a replacement.

The Daily Mail say that United believe they may have to wait another 12 months to secure the player’s signature.

But how the summer transfer saga plays out remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer recently opened up on the transfer business that may happen this summer.

But the 46-year-old warned fans that he will not spend money just for the sake of it.

“United is a club that has money, and that has to be spent in a reasonable way,” he said.

“People who know me, know that I will use that in a good way.

“We have a plan with the club, they have scouted players for longer than I have been here, and we have players that we need to keep.

“We will not spend money just to spend money.”
