Meanwhile, super-agent Jorge Mendes has opened up on the player’s future.
And he’s admitted that, if Fernandes doesn’t leave Sporting during the January transfer window, he’ll be on the move come the summer instead.
“If he doesn’t leave now, he will leave for sure in the summer because Sporting have already spoken with other clubs,” said Mendes on Sky Sports.
